Not close to airport?
Can't get to the airport on a weekday morning?
Want to spend more quality time visiting with our Veterans than when they are rushing through the airports? Consider greeting and assisting a hub as they arrive at their hotel.
Some hubs spend one or two nights at a hotel in the DC area while on their trips, and welcome greeters and helpers as they settle in for the evening.
The following is a list of hubs who would welcome individual greeters or a group (school, civic, corporate) to greet and mingle upon their arrival at the hotel. Individual attendance does not require a RSVP – just show up. If you have a group that would like to get more involved handling luggage, unloading wheelchairs, singing, etc. please email jbrawley@honorflight.org and we can provide additional details. Please note that estimated arrival times may vary – with variables such as weather or traffic. Please bring flags, banners, balloons, signs and smiles. Please check with the hotel for parking.
